Meet Emma

My love for embroidery started with the goal of spending less time scrolling and more time creating.

Growing up, I watched my mom sew and mend clothes for her eight children. There was something special about picking up a needle and thread myself years later - it felt like reclaiming a fading art and reconnecting with a part of my heritage. After becoming a mom myself just a few years ago, I fell in love with beautifully embroidered pieces for my daughter Georgia. I eventually decided to learn how to make them myself.

What started with a hand embroidery kit quickly turned into my first embroidery machine, followed by monogramming just about everything I could get my hands on for Georgia, my nieces and nephews, and our friends. And from there, Stitched By Emma was born.

Embroidery found me during a season when I was struggling with anxiety and sadness and needed something joyful and creative to pour myself into. I truly believe God placed it in my life at just the right time. My hope is to add a little more beauty to the world through pieces that make everyday moments feel special.
